Did you know that the Ford Bronco once dominated the market for SUVs? This vehicle was a well-known SUV because of its incredible power, capability and groundbreaking design. The production of the Ford Bronco started in 1966, and became Ford's first compact SUV. It was equipped with a 4x4 drive and a V8 engine that made it the powerful vehicle it was once known to be. Furthermore, the Ford Bronco was a multi-purpose vehicle whose main competitors were the Jeep CJ models and other off-road vehicles.

In 1991, to celebrate the Ford Bronco's 25th anniversary, Ford offered a brand-new redesign of this vehicle as well as a Silver Anniversary Edition. During the last generation of Ford Broncos the design of this vehicle was based on the Ford F-150. Eventually, though, Ford decided to discontinue the vehicle in 1996. However, the Ford Expedition would soon replace the Ford Bronco in the Ford SUV lineup.
