Our Edmonton Oilers Over the Years at Kentwood Ford: Jordan Eberle
Kentwood Ford has been a proud part of the Edmonton community for almost 50 years. With that time and dedication, it's no surprise that we've seen a few friendly faces stopping by our north Edmonton dealership, such as the Edmonton Oilers! Over the years, we've helped some of the most prolific members of our beloved NHL team purchase a new vehicle, including former Oilers right winger, Jordan Eberle.
Eberle played for the Oilers from 2010 until 2017, when he was traded to the New York Islanders in exchange for Ryan Strome. He was selected 22nd overall in the first round of the 2008 NHL entry Draft to the Oilers, and competed for Canada in the World Junior Championships where his clutch play and last minute heroics helped our junior national team win gold in 2009 and silver in 2010. One of the biggest highlights from his tenure with the Oilers comes from recording his first goal in his debut with the team. It was the Battle of Alberta, where Jordan Eberle recorded his first goal on the penalty kill in the third period against the Calgary Flames. The goal was eventually voted as the NHL's Goal of the Year by fans on the League's Facebook page.
Jordan Eberle previously purchased a Ford F 150 from our dealership during his tenure with the Oilers. He chose the F-150 because of how spacious and comfortable the interior was, along with the additional perks of having a DVD player in the back. This F 150 also came packed with a 6-speed automatic, 3.5 liter EcoBoost V6 engine, and even a 360-degree camera and Blind-spot Information System!
Even though he may not be part of the Oilers anymore, he's still a part of our Edmonton. Here's Jordan Eberle this past March receiving an Edmontonian homecoming from the first time he's returned to our city as part of the New York Islanders, against our Edmonton Oilers at Rogers Place. The Oilers went on to win that game 2-1 by shootout --but no hard feelings, Jordan ;)
Here's to all the Edmonton Oilers who've bought a vehicle from us in the past, and for the many others to come.
