Unsolved Mysteries at Kentwood Ford: Specs for the 2020 Ford Bronco

The ending of the recent Fantastic Beasts movie that came out a couple weeks ago, and details on the 2020 Ford Bronco, both share one thing in common: none of us know what's going on with it. Ford has been keeping hush on a lot of details surrounding the off-roader's return next year. While the imminent return of the Ford Ranger helps to suppress our impatience for an off-roading vehicle, the anticipation for more news surrounding the classic midsize ford is killing us here at Kentwood Ford. Take a look at the most recent intel we've uncovered for the 2020 Bronco.

Multiple Makes & Body Styles

One of the reasons why it's been so hard to pinpoint the Bronco's official redesign details is because of Ford's plan on releasing it with numerous body styles and designs. Back in its heyday, people associated the Bronco with being a typical midsize vehicle for casual (or getaway) driving, but the Bronco was built as a lightweight pickup/SUV crossover with supplementary off-roading performance at the time. Now, Ford's delivering on all those things by possibly releasing different models for each segment (minus the two-door setup).

Even More Specs

Just when we thought we narrowed it down, more Bronco rumours keep springing up, adding fuel to this overly ambiguous fire. Multiple sources have suggested it would release with typical modern Ford technologies like an EcoBoost engine and either an 8-speed or 10-speed automatic transmission. But most of these sources report it either coming with a 2.3-litre Ecoboost or a 2.7-litre, and a few have suggested it might even come with a hybrid drivetrain as well. Additionally, there's been suggestions that Ford's been grooming the Bronco to compete heavily with the Jeep Wrangler for off-roading supremacy, which makes the rumours of its 7-speed manual transmission a likely addition.
