Which Ford Ranger Model Should You Choose?
Yup, we're still excited over the Ranger! Back by popular demand, Ford's recently-revived pickup truck has been the talk of the town here at Kentwood Ford. With up to three trim levels to choose from, you may be wondering which Ranger model to go with. That's why we've broken down each trim and listed the features and perks you get with each one, below!
XL
Right out of the gate, the base XL model gives you almost every new advancement in Ford models, compared to the last-generation model back in 2011. For example, every Ranger comes with the 2.3L EcoBoost® Engine with Auto Start-Stop Technology and comes paired with the Electronic 10-Speed Automatic Transmission. Not only does this engine come with great horsepower, torque and fuel efficiency, but it helps you save even more on gas by shutting the engine off when not in use and turning back on with just the press of the pedal. Additionally, the XL also comes with 4x4 Electronic-Shift-On-the-Fly (ESOF), Electronic Power-Assist Steering, and a rearview backup camera, making it a successful update for the modern era.
XLT
The next trim-level up gives you all the same features of the Ranger XL, and then some! On the XLT model, you gain tons of perks on the technology side, starting with the intuitive Ford Co-Pilot360(TM) driver assist system, which includes Automatic High Beam Headlamps, BLIS® w/ Cross-Traffic Alert and Trailor Tow Monitoring, and a Lane Keeping System. On the convenience side, it also gains both the Ford SYNC® system and FordPass(TM) Connect 4G Wi-Fi Modem. The SYNC® brings enhanced voice recognition, 911 Assist® and Applink® to the Ranger, while FordPass(TM) Connect allows you and up to 10 devices connect to the internet, as well as remotely start, lock and unlock your vehicle from the app.
Lariat
For both comfort and convenience, the Lariat offers the best driving experience possible on the new Ford Ranger. When you step inside and sit on the front row, you can use the 8-way Power Adjust Driver or Passenger seats to fix your seating profile however you want. Plus, almost every driving amenity is made up of leather, including the seats, gearshift, and steering wheel. For added comfort, these seats also come heated and with power lumbar support. Comfort also gets another bonus, as Dual-zone Electronic Automatic Temperature Control allows you and your front passenger to set your own temperature preferences inside. To top everything off, the Lariat also comes with the latest, most advanced SYNC® 3 infotainment system, complete with an 8-inch touchscreen display.
