Coming Soon to Kentwood Ford: Your Sneak Peek at the 2020 Explorer
Reaching our north Edmonton dealership by the end of the year, the all-new 2020 Explorer was recently unveiled by the Ford Motor Company a few weeks back. Let's take a closer look at some of the biggest changes and additions coming to the redesigned full-size Ford SUV.
Designed for the New Generation
The 2020 Explorer marks a new era for the vehicle, as it now enters its sixth generation. Of course, the biggest mark for this change comes from its all-new design, both inside and out. The new silhouette borrows much from previous generations and adds sharper angles to accentuate the vehicle's performance. Most notably, the 2020 Explorer comes with a brand-new revamped grille that breathes power, both in and out.
More Towing Power
Not only is the 2020 Explorer redesigned on the outside, but on the inside, too. One of the best features of the new 2020 Explorer is that it comes packed with better towing power than ever before. When equipped with a Class III Trailer Tow Package, the 2020 Explorer can tow up to 5,600 lbs. Needless to say, the Explorer can handle any trailer you need for your adventures because it's built to, well, Explore!
A Thrilling Interior
The excitement from driving the redesigned 2020 Explorer all starts with its sensational interior. Inside, you'll find newly-standard features like dual-zone automatic climate controls and a rotary gear shift, as well as features you can add on like a wireless charging pad and a 12.3-inch Digital Productivity Screen. But the biggest change inside (literally) is the all-new 10.1-inch portrait-mounted touchscreen available for certain trim levels for you to use the SYNC® 3 infotainment system.
Sport-Tuned for the Future
The biggest change coming to the 2020 Explorer is that it's joining the Ford Performance lineup with the introduction of the all-new Explorer ST! Featuring a sports-tuned suspension, all-new driving dynamics, and a more athletic design, the ST model is the biggest, most boldest Explorer yet--but that's not all. The Explorer ST is capable of producing up to 400 horsepower thanks to its new engine (that we won't spoil the surprise for just yet).
