Not only is the Escape smartly priced, but it’s smartly specced as well! The Escape’s 1.5L EcoBoost engine outperforms the Equinox’s 1.6L 4-cylinder in horsepower at 179 hp, giving it a greater edge in towing capacity as well. While the Equinox claims to be the more fuel-efficient vehicle, it still takes diesel fuel which will cost you more at the gas pumps compared to the Escape (which still takes regular unleaded).

While the price of the Ford Escape may be smaller, its interior space is far from it! When you step inside the Ford Escape, you’ll immediately notice how cavernous its cargo space is, prompting you to wonder what you can’t fit inside, because it has the advantage in interior and maximum cargo volume, as well as the added bonus of cargo tie-downs. Not only does the interior do an excellent job accommodating your belongings, but it also does the same accommodating you and your passengers! With 2 additional power outlets and leatherette seating materials, there’s no question that the Escape offers better value, comfort, and most of all, space.
